Program overview
Step beyond the ordinary and discover Morocco’s Sahara in unmatched style. Over five days, travel with a native Amazigh guide, stay in boutique family residences and desert camps, share home-cooked meals, and explore hidden valleys, gorges and dunes far from the tourist trail. Every moment is curated for cultural depth, privacy, and refinement — a true journey into the heart of Morocco.
Over five carefully curated days, your journey begins in Marrakech and crosses the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains via the legendary Tizi n’Tichka Pass, revealing remote Berber villages and panoramic mountain landscapes.
Travel along the historic caravan route through Telouet before exploring the UNESCO World Heritage site of Aït Benhaddou, then continue into the palm-filled oasis of Skoura, where your first intimate family residence awaits.
From there, the road leads into the lush terraces and hidden trails of M'Goun Valley and the dramatic Agouti Gorge, before ascending to seasonal nomadic caves where shepherd families still follow ancestral migration rhythms.
Travel in the company of a native Amazigh guide who provides rare access to homes, valleys, and seasonal migration routes rarely experienced by outsiders. Share slow, thoughtfully prepared meals in family kitchens, walk through hidden mountain villages, witness sunrise with nomads in their cave dwellings, and spend intimate evenings beneath the Sahara sky.
Continue along the dramatic cliffs of Dades Valley before reaching the golden dunes of Merzouga, gateway to the Sahara Desert. Along the way, meet Amazigh families, visit nomadic shepherds in seasonal mountain caves, and share home-cooked meals prepared in traditional kitchens.
This is not a curated performance of culture.
It is a respectful, immersive passage into Morocco’s living heritage.

We divert toward the remote village of Telouet to explore the historic Glaoui Kasbah, once a powerful stronghold along the former caravan route.
A private family lunch awaits in a traditional Amazigh home — an intimate introduction to regional cuisine and hospitality.
In the afternoon, we visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Aït Benhaddou, walking through its earthen alleys as golden light settles across the desert plateau.
By evening, we arrive in the palm-filled Skoura Oasis, where you are welcomed into a carefully selected family guesthouse surrounded by date palms.

Day 2Skoura – M’Goun Valley – Agouti Gorge – Nomadic Cave Retreat
After breakfast beneath the palms, we travel toward the spectacular M’Goun region, gateway to the High Atlas valleys.
Arriving in the lush M'Goun Valley, we continue to the peaceful village of Agouti. Here, a guided walk through the dramatic Agouti Gorge reveals terraced fields, walnut groves, and hidden mountain paths.
By late afternoon, we ascend to a seasonal nomadic cave dwelling — still used by pastoral families during migration periods.
As the sun sets across the valley, enjoy tea with nomadic hosts and learn about transhumance traditions that have shaped Amazigh life for centuries.
Dinner is prepared on-site using local ingredients.
Overnight: Refined cave stay with bedding prepared for comfort.##
Day 3Sunrise with Nomads – Dades Canyon Exploration – Mellab Village – Sahara Nomad Camp
Wake before dawn to witness sunrise illuminating the High Atlas peaks.
After breakfast with your hosts, we descend toward the dramatic landscapes of the Dades Valley, known for its sculpted rock formations and winding canyon roads.
A light canyon exploration (seasonal water flow permitting) offers a refreshing immersion in nature.
We continue through the tranquil village of Mellab before heading south toward the Sahara.
By late afternoon, the dunes of Merzouga rise on the horizon.
Your evening unfolds in a discreet nomadic-style desert camp, where comfort meets authenticity — fine bedding, lantern-lit dining, and traditional music beneath a vast starlit sky.
Overnight: Intimate Sahara nomad camp.##
Day 4Merzouga – Rissani Souk – Wild Picnic – Tizi n’Tzazert – Dades Valley
After sunrise over the dunes, we visit the historic town of Rissani, home to one of southern Morocco’s most authentic traditional markets.
Explore its lively souk, known for spices, dates, and artisan goods.
A carefully prepared wild picnic is served en route as we cross the scenic and less-traveled Tizi n'Tzazert, a dramatic mountain pass offering sweeping desert panoramas.
By evening, we return to the remarkable landscapes of Dades Valley for a restful overnight stay in a boutique guesthouse..##
